First "Robinhood User Group"
Robinhood Policy Engine is a tool developed by CEA to manage contents of large HPC file systems. Available as open source software since 2009, the user community of this software keeps growing and now represents a significant part of HPC sites, in particular those using Lustre parallel file systems. Also, this software is now integrated by main HPC vendors as part of their storage solutions.
In this context, CEA organized last September 21st 2015 the first Robinhood User Group at Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees Paris, co-located with LAD. The goal of this event is to bring together actors involved in the project: users, contributors, integrators, and support teams.
This first edition was a success with an attendance over expectations. In particular, main storage vendors were represented at this meeting: Atos/Bull, Cray, DDN, Intel, Seagate, SGI.
Attendees found this meeting useful and necessary to increase the level of information about the software, share best practices, discuss incoming evolutions and future needs. They wish this event will take place the next years.
